User Session Timeout versus Batch Session Timeout
Issue
What is the difference between Session Timeout and Batch Session Timeouts?
Solution
A user session begins when a resource logs into Kofax TotalAgility (KTA). This user session will be invalid when the session has been idle for the period defined by the Session Timeout in System Settings -> User Sessions. The user session will then be logged out of KTA gracefully by the Process Session Timeout system task.
A batch session begins when a resource takes a manual capture activity or creates a job using a scan form. This batch session will be invalid when the session has been idle for the period defined by the Batch Session Timeout in System Settings -> User Sessions. The batch session will be unloaded gracefully by the Process Capture Timeout system task.
