TotalAgility Transformation Designer Throwing "No working connection has been found." Error

Issue

When trying to activate the web connection in TotalAgility (KTA) Transformation Designer from the File/Options or File/Connections menu, the following error is returned.

"No working connection has been found. Please add a new connection or check the configuration of an existing connection"

How can this be corrected?

 

Solution

This error is typically caused by a mis-configured user account in KTA Designer. This will usually occur when Windows authentication is being used for authentication and the account being used doesn't match what's configured in KTA Designer.

In many cases the account will be configured as user@domain.com whereas KTA typically wants to see the user account configured as domain\user, such as KOFAX\User. Changing to this format will most likely resolve the error.
