Cannot find matching import source for message error in Message Connector

Question / Problem: 

When ingesting messages through the KTA Message Connector, the following error is seen in the Message Connector Monitor with failed messages:

Cannot find matching import source for message

Answer / Solution: 

It appears that MC is storing Import Source name when polling. The above error would occurs if someone made changes to the Source Name in KTA.

One possible solution is to restart the Kofax Message Connector service and reprocess any failed messages.  

Else remove the email from the MC Monitor and re-ingest from the inbox again so that new source name is being captured instead.
