Issue

When using a PDF Text Layer, some locators throw the error below.

The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access

 

Cause

This is caused by the 3rd party library used to interpret the Pdf Text layer adding garbage words to the OCR.  This garbage OCR has a knock-on effect to the locators.

 

Solution

The garbage OCR can be removed using the attached KTD script (ref: Remove Garbage Ocr.txt).  After adding this script to the project, the error will still occur if testing the individual locator.  You will need to extract all document fields for the garbage OCR to be removed.
