Kofax TotalAgility - Importing a package to a split Web/App environment throws a error "There was no endpoint listening"

When importing a package into a split Web/Application environment, the below error is generated

There was no endpoint listening at that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. 


This error can occur when we install a combined Web/Application server on the App tier.  A Web server is installed that points to this combined Web/Application server.  This is an incorrect topology which causes the error.  A KTA Web server should point to a KTA Application server, not a combined Web/Application server.

To check if a combined Web/Application server has been installed, we can check the file Agility.Server.StreamingService.exe.config on the Application server.  This is located at C:\Program Files\Kofax\TotalAgility\CoreWorkerService\ by default.

If the key ServerMode has a value of WebAppServer, then this will indicate a combined 


Uninstall the combined Web/Application server on the App tier.  Perform an Application server install instead.
