Question / Problem:
When configuring a SQL Relational Database Connection in Project Builder the dropdown of database names does not populate. Why is this?
Answer / Solution:
The reason the database list is not populated is because Project Builder uses SQL credentials of the Windows User running Project Builder. If using SQL Server Authentication, the credentials are not used to populate this dropdown.
In order for the list to be populated temporarily grant the Windows User running Project Builder the following SQL permissions:
- Connect any database
- Connect SQL
- View any database
- View any definition
