Question / Problem:
What exceptions do I need to add to Windows' Data Execution Prevention (DEP) for AXP/KTM?
Answer / Solution:
Add the following exceptions to DEP for Ascent Xtrata Pro:
- Under the \Program Files\Common Files\LCI\Server folder — Add exceptions for all “.exe” files in this folder.
- Under \AscentSS\ServLib\Bin — Add the “Mailroomservice”, “MailroomSVR”, and “Mailroomval” executables to the exceptions.
To add exceptions:
- Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK.
- On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
- On the Data Execution Prevention tab, use one of the following procedures:
- Either select Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only
or - Select Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select, and then click Add to add the programs that you do not want to use the DEP feature.
- Either select Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only
