I am trying to install the Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM) Thin Client Validation. When trying to log in; I receive an error message that the "Connection to the server is broken." How can I resolve this issue?

I am trying to install the Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM) Thin Client Validation. When trying to log in, I receive an error message that the
    "Connection to the server is broken."

How can I resolve this issue?

Answer / Solution:

  • Suggestion 1
    Turn off UAC, and add the IUSR, IIS_WPG and Network Service accounts to the CaptureSV share with FULL CONTROL permissions. Restart IIS and test.
  • Suggestion 2
    Trying installing ASP.NET using the "Run as administrator" option for the command line. Restart IIS and test.
  • Suggestion 3
    Check the web.config file. If it is 1 KB, it may be malformed or incorrect. If there is a backup of it, restore it. Restart IIS and test.
