KTM Server shows license has expired

Question / Problem: 

Processing a Batch through KTM Server produces the following error message:

Error loading project. Your license has expired. Please contact your administrator to get a new license. 

How can this issue be resolved?

Answer / Solution: 

The above message has been seen after converting from a Hardware to a Software license and activating a new license in the Kofax Capture License Utility.

To resolve this issue, it will be necessary to re-sync KTM with the new license.

  1. Open Project Builder on the KTM Server.
  2. Go to Help.
  3. Click Activate.

It is necessary to restart KTM Server services.
