Regarding creation of knowledge bases there are some disadvantages:

• A knowledge base is a file for each locator which contains trained data. But it cannot be analyzed nor corrected. So if you want to correct it later, then you need to delete  or deactivate the knowledge base, activate your generations and create the knowledge base again.
• If you train the project in Project Builder then conflicts are not detected or reported regarding knowledge bases.

If possible keep all documents and generations.
