Question / Problem:
I am using the Server module of Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM). Intermittently, a Batch does not process through KTM Server, causing the service to "hang." I receive an error message stating that the XDC could not be opened.
How can I resolve this issue?

The root cause of the "hanging" issue is when KTM database files contain a value that includes a word that is greater than 256 characters. The database value itself can be longer than 256 characters, but no one word within the database value can exceed 256 characters.
This could be caused when users automatically create the database file using a service. This service pulls from a counterparty name database and creates the database text file that the KTM project uses.
To resolve this issue, remove the long word data from the database file, and restart all the KTM Services. Also ensure that users briefly review test data for such a discrepancy (to prevent this issue in the future).
