I am using Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM) 5.0/5.5 Validation; and am no longer able to see the Image Viewer panel for KTM Validation in Windows XP. How can I reset the KTM Validation settings?

Question / Problem:

I am using Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM) 5.0/5.5 Validation, and am no longer able to see the Image Viewer panel for KTM Validation in Windows XP.

How can I reset the KTM Validation settings?

Answer / Solution:

  1. Export and delete the following Registry Key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Kofax\Tranformation\4.0\Validation
  2. Back up and move the Validation XML files from the following two locations:
    • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kofax\Transformation
    • C:\Documents and Settings\<Logged_In_User>\Local Settings\Application Data\Kofax\Transformation

These instructions are for KTM 5.0/5.5 and KC 8/9 for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. For Windows 7 and Windows 2008, use the following paths:

  • C:\ProgramData\Kofax\Transformation
  • C:\Users\<Logged_In_User>\AppData\Local\Transformation

Please follow the steps above, and ensure that Hidden Files and Folders are visible.
