Why might the Kofax Transformation Modules (KTM) installation be very slow near the end?

Solution

Towards the end of the installation of KTM, the names of the all possible KTM license types are registered with the license server. If the Kofax Capture License service is stopped or the Kofax Capture License server is inaccessible, then the installation will take the full length of the license connection timeout for each of the license names that need to be registered.

If the installation is allowed to continue this way, it will be fully functional, but the License Utility may show license names which are unlabeled or mention older product names such as Ascent Xtrata Pro.

NOTE: During installation/upgrade, you will need to disable all Kofax related services, EXCEPT the Kofax Capture License service.
