Unable to communicate with the server

Issue

The KXP Server freshly installed returns the following error at startup 'Unable to communicate with the server."

 

Solution

Please check that the default port 808 as used by KXP wouldn't be already grabbed by another application.

Otherwise, please change it for another one like "809", if still available.

Note that you'll also have to modify the "KofaxReg.xm"l on each future KXP clients like this:

SHAREDELEMENTSERVER Value="SERVER NAME:809
