Scan Settings Not Saved in VRS Profile

Does Kofax VRS save the scan settings for Page Size, Page Layout, Color Mode, DPI, or Simplex/Duplex in the VRS Profile?

Solution

No. Kofax VRS does not save the settings for Page Size, Page Layout, Color Mode, DPI, or Simplex/Duplex in the VRS Profile. These settings are typically controlled by the scanning application (such as VCDemo, Kofax Capture, or a third-party scanning application). Some scanning applications allow the user to save these settings to a Scan Profile for use in later scan sessions.
 

If the scanning application connects to Kofax VRS via the "Kofax VRS – TWAIN" interface, the TWAIN interface provides the user with the ability to configure these settings and save them to a scan profile. However, if the scanning application also has the ability to configure and save these settings, the scanning application's scan settings will override the "Kofax VRS – TWAIN" interface's scan settings.
 

If the scanning application connects to Kofax VRS via the "Kofax VRS Scanner" ISIS interface, the ISIS interface provides the user with the ability to configure these settings and save them to an ISIS Preset. However, if the scanning application also has the ability to configure and save these settings, the scanning application's scan settings will override the ISIS interface's Preset settings.
