VRS Serial number - part number explained

Issue

What is the part number in a VRS 5.x Serial number tells me?

Solution

Part Number is divided in three sections VP-D005-0001

Firs Section indicates if license is:

an upgrade license UP or
Stand alone Professional license VP

Middle section Indicates License level:
D - Desktop
W - Workgroup
P - Production

It also indicates the the version for in which this license can be activated with.
005 (In this case will work with VRS (5.0, 5.1, 5.1.1, 5.1.2, 5.2, etc)

NOTE: Same rule applies if the number is different like 004 (License for a VRS 4.x version)

Last section
Indicates that it can only be activated on one station at the time
