What is VRS Test Application, also known as VCDemo?
Answer
VRS Test Application, also known as VCDemo, is a basic testing application that is included by Kofax in all ImageControls and VRS installations. The VRS Test Application can be used to determine if a scanner is properly interfacing with the ImageControls or VRS software. It can also be used as a basic scanning application for low volume scanning.
VRS Test Application can be launched from one of the following locations:

NOTE: If VRS Test Application is not located in either the Kofax folder on the C: drive or the Start Menu ¦ Programs group, launch Start ¦ Run ¦ VCDem32p.exe. or VCDemo.exe
To load a scanning device, navigate to the Source menu and select Scanner.
The Select Scan Source window should display the default scan source, or choose the dropdown arrow to load a specific source. Once the desired Scan source is selected, click the OK button.
If a second dialog box labeled Configure Device Settings displays, be sure to use the dropdown arrow to select the appropriate device.
The Toolbar at the top of the menu will display several icons when the application is ready to scan.
