Device Busy Error 9081 when loading a Kodak scan source in VCDemo

If I select a scanner in VCDemo, I receive the error message:

9081 device busy error -46

What can cause this error?

This error can be caused by using a Kodak scanner without installing the correct SVT version on the system.

Installing the correct version of the SVT from the Kodak Web site should resolve this issue.
