Bar Code Recognition Cannot be Tested on Imported Images in Test Console

Issue

Bar Codes are not recognized when importing images into the VRS Test Console

Cause

The bar code recognition feature in the VRS Test Console is limited to scan-time only.

Solution

Use vcdemo.exe to test bar code recognition at import-time.

When testing bar code recognition in VCDemo.exe: Bar code recognition using the Standard Bar Code (SBC) engine at import-time requires either a Kofax VRS 5.x Elite license or a hardware AIPE license dongle. Bar code recognition using the Enhanced Bar Code (EBC) engine at import-time requires a hardware EBC license dongle.
