Could not read KofaxVersion or Version from registry

Issue

AdminServices Error - Could not read KofaxVersion or Version from registry.

Cause

One of the reasons why that error can occur is because the KofaxReg.xml has been corrupted.

Solution

Rename the mentioned file from C:\ProgramData\Kofax\Vrs

Run setup.exe from Kofax VRS installation media (previously used to install it on the station) to recreate that registry file..
