Error calling OpenMcVRSscan 2nd time
Issue
Receiving the following error message when attempting to Scan in Capture Scan module on the KC workstation (VCDemo Scans successfully): “Error calling OpenMcVRSscan 2nd time”.
Cause
This error can occur if Scan source attempts to load the VRS Multicore processor for a new session before the VRS scan source has been completely unloaded from its previous session. It can also occur because the station does not meet the Multicore specs to run successfully/
Solution
Solution 1
Disabling Multicore Processing in the VRS Administrative Console will prevent this error from occurring.
Go to:
VRS Administration Console | Preferences | Multicore Processing | OFF
Solution 2
If Multicore needs to stay enable, please make sure Kofax VRS version is updated to the latest available version 5.2 and with the latest Fix Pack applied.
