HP Scanner Not Recognized by VRS

Issue
An HP Scanner is not recognized by Kofax VRS or an ImageControls-based scanning application such as Kofax Capture or Kofax Express.
Cause
Most HP Scanners require both the Universal Basic driver and the ISIS driver be installed, and that they are installed in the correct order, for the scanner to be correctly recognized by Kofax VRS / ImageControls.
Solution
If only the Universal Basic driver is currently installed:
- Download and install the ISIS driver
If only the ISIS driver is currently installed:
- Uninstall the ISIS driver
- Download and install the Universal Basic driver
- Reinstall the ISIS driver
If the ISIS driver was installed before the Universal Basic driver:
- Uninstall both drivers
- Reinstall the Universal Basic driver
- Reinstall the ISIS driver
